Looking to initiate a bullish trade on ONTO. Technology stocks were the best performers last Friday and while technology has been a drag on the market for the past month plus, the semiconductor equipment and materials industry group has held up much better overall.
ONTO has pulled back to the 20 SMA, where it appears to have found support and…

The consumer cyclical sector has shown signs of accumulation for the past week, and was especially strong yesterday. I am looking to initiate a position on ANF with a MOC order should the stock appear to be closing strong above the $120.00 level taking out the recent resistance after pausing for three days on decreasing volume.

Also, looking for a bearish trade on ORCL as technology has been a drag on the market for the past month, and the software infrastructure industry has been particularly weak with the moving averages in the right order. ORCL had a negative response to earnings; therefore, looking to initiate this as a put spread trade costing approximately $1000…

Pete, I would like to add some fundamental filters to the Finviz scan parameters in order to narrow down the selection to those companies that are actually profitable and making money. Can you share some insight as to what would be the best fundamental filters to add to a search and what settings, etc? Thank you.

Peter, I was wondering if you could put together some sort of short course on taking profits.
My question stems from continually building a position at the add share price when the stock continually moves in your favor and then all of a sudden your original position is now 6+ times higher as you continue to add making that individual position…

Hey Pete, I would like you to help me to better understand and frame the market action today in comparison to Friday. Specifically from an entire portfolio perspective for swing trades as opposed to any one specific position.
How should we view Friday’s reaction to the fed news? Was Friday a sell the news event and now are we waiting for the…

Trade management question regarding our entire portfolio. Pete pointed out this morning and showed the divergent market breadth over the past week, whereby the market continued to move higher despite weakening breadth, and he mentioned that he was going to reduce position size going forward on new swing trades. Thus, in addition to…
