Thank you, Pete! Thing is, I didn’t take any trade last week, only watching stocks moving. I sort of mentally papertrading AMZN, AAPL, CSCO, DIS. I tried to have all criteria lined up, so I would say that I took good trades and ideas (post-earnings, good news, good-looking charts on D and W). I use tight stoplosses because I want to trade…

Hi Pete,
I wanted to reach out with some issues I’ve been struggling with over the past few weeks of high volatility (day trading). I managed to place just a few trades and I’ve identified a few recurring mental and practical blockers that I’d really appreciate your perspective on.
I’ve broken down my challenges into a few key areas:
1. Lack…

Hi Pete,
I started to dive into the market with day trades a month and a half ago so, understandably, while honing my skills, I lose a lot of trades (not money, though). I only do long trades and I don’t want to use margin accounts yet and get things complicated (for me, at least) so I wanted to ask a few things:
1. I noticed I can’t really…

Hi,
I wanted to ask you about trading longs off/around VWAP. As a general question what would be good criteria and what is considered a good separation to enter long? From what I gather, I had only quite aggressive entries, so I wonder what would be a good process here. To exemplify, two trades that I took:
1. IREN, 23 sept, entry on 5min candle…

Some addenda: today, I took another IONQ trade (5min candle at 10:40), this time taking into account what Lynn told me a week ago (price above VWAP, SMAs in order) and lo and behold! I caught this big move (after 7 duds)! I must say, I’m very proud of myself right now. Single regret: I didn’t add along the way, as I was excited and too afraid…

Hi,
I have another IONQ trade here. Now, I was somewhat more cautious with my entry (13:05 candle on 5m TF, September 4th) and waited until the price broke out over VWAP with the MAs in order. Got immediately stopped out at the next candle. What could I have done better here?
Thank you,
Dan

Hi,
First, I’d like to ask you two questions;
1. Is it wiser to avoid trading stocks with big spreads? I saw that some of you follow these type of stocks in Discord during the day.
2. I would like an advice on how to enter trades fast while the price is moving. What type of order should I use best beside the market order and the buy stop order.…

Hi, Pete!
PNC
Market and Financial sector up, good earnings two days ago, also potential boost from good earnings estimates for financial companies, better position than peers (FITB, HBAN, CFG, FNB). News positive.
Inside day setup. Timeframes good, except a pause in Weekly. Risk 5 USD for 15 USD. Resistance at ADD level. Volume perked up after earnings.

Evening you all!
Pete, I’m 56, and started this journey two and a half years back. In theory, I know a lot, but my hands-on experience in the market is somewhat small (did a dozen or so of swing trades).
Honestly, I sometimes worry that I won’t have enough time to achieve my goals of becoming financially independent, so I wanted to ask you this.…

Thank you so much, Pete!
I only paper traded NY method, that’s why I said I never took a trade before. I never took a REAL one, that is. And when I said no setup was satisfying enough, I meant it didn’t satisfy me 100%.
Yes, it’s time to jump in the water and learn to swim! I think it’s mostly fear of losing money for me rather than ego. But, as…
